PROFESSIONAL FLUSHING OF COOLING SYSTEMS

Good quality engine coolant contains various additives that will protect the system in different ways. Over time these additives will start to break down and lose their effectiveness and at this point, the performance of the cooling system components will be compromised due to factors such as corrosion or build-up of foreign particles on the surfaces of the various components. This will impair the performance of the system and may lead to more expensive repairs at a later stage.

In order to maintain the system at optimal performance levels, it is recommended to replace the coolant and flush the system from time to time. Please contact us, we will gladly assist.

RADIATOR AND INTERCOOLER RE-CORING OR REFURBISHMENT

Certain types of radiators and intercoolers/charge air coolers can easily be re-cored as a cost-effective alternative to replacing a part with a new one. Another alternative for copper brass type radiators may be to repair or refurbish the item if the damage is not too extensive. We will be happy to assist you in determining the best solution for your needs.

SPECIALIZED SYSTEMS AND COMPONENT TESTING

Correctly diagnosing a problem depends not only on understanding how a system works but also on performing various checks and tests and then knowing how to correctly interpret the results. The following are some of the checks and tests that may be done by your Supreme Technical Services when diagnosing a problem:

Tracing cooling system leaks. This might be done by any one or a combination of the following:

  • Visual inspection
  • Using a special dye and ultraviolet light
  • Pressure testing the cooling system as a whole
  • Pressure testing the radiator cap to ensure correct system pressures during operation.
  • Testing for combustion gas leaks which might indicate a blown cylinder head gasket or even a cracked cylinder head.
  • Testing for the presence of stray currents which could cause the destruction of engine cooling system components by electrolysis.
  • Checking for correct antifreeze levels

For any specific diagnosis you might need and for all your engine cooling problems in general please contact Supreme Technical Services, we will be happy to assist.

EXPERT COOLING SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING, SERVICE, AND REPAIR

Why you must service your car?

Regular servicing helps you to protect your vehicle against costly wear and tear and maintain a good resale value.

Most of the components of your car are built to last 100 000kms and more. However materials such as oil, filters, fluids and other various parts are designed to protect expensive items such as your engine and gearbox from damage. In order to ensure that your vehicle runs with optimum efficiency and minimal wear and tear, it is vital that you service your car regularly. Servicing by qualified technicians will help you to identify potential problems and repair them before they become expensive. We at Supreme technical services, service your car according to manufacturer specifications and at affordable prices.

Our service includes:

  • Service and Inspection – All car service and repair recommended by the manufacturer, such as oil change service, major service or minor service. We work strictly according to the service intervals for oil, filter and spark plug change recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Diagnostics – Are any engine lights or warning lights showing in your car? Than come to us and we’ll check if it’s something serious.
  • Gearbox and clutch – Do you have to press your clutch further than you used to or do you struggle engaging gears? Than let us check the clutch of your car.
  • Brakes – Not sure if your brake pads are still fine? Come to and we’ll show you how to check the wear of your brake pads.
  • Suspension – If your car makes a “clunk” when you drive over a bump or when making a turn, it is time to get your suspension tested. Modern vehicles are equipped with intelligent rubber/metal bushes for optimum comfort and road holding. If these are worn, the road holding of your car will deteriorate.
  • Shocks – if your car bounces excessively, or leans too far to either side when making a turn, then it is time to get your shocks tested. This can be done through multiple ways, with the most popular being a push test or a simple driving test. The push test can be done at home, whereby you push your car down to test if it jumps to high or sinks too low. Come in to the workshop and we will show, you, how to test your shocks.
  • Engine – Is your engine losing oil or water? If this is so, then bring your car into our car service centre and let us handle the rest.
